This is an absolutely spectacular yidaki in every way, with both superb playing characteristics, natural hollow, and fine artwork. It was crafted by Dindirrk Mununggurr and painted by Milminyina Dhamarrandji with artwork representing the waters between Nhulunbuy and Dhambaliya.

This yidaki would be called 'old man style' by Yolngu today, with it's deep and dirty tone. It sounds reminiscent of those old field recordings from Yirrkala. Milminyina crafted and painted this instrument. The gorgeous, fine artwork represents rough waters in between the town of Nhulunbuy and the artist's homeland on Dhambaliya, or Bremer Island.
