This Yidaki was made as a non-painted instrument by Watjuku Gurruwiwi. It was then painted by Mulkun Wirrpanda of the Dhudi-Djapu clan, in earth pigments (ochres) with Yalata miny'tji, including tracks of the Brolga (Gudurrku). It is a raw playing instrument with good clarity and strong bass frequencies. Due to the large bore and mouthpiece, it does take a lot of air. Most players will need to make a wax mouthpiece to play the instrument comfortably.
