When asked to demonstrate yidaki technique recently, this is the instrument that Milkayngu chose. He called it "balanced," capable of all the techniques. It has a tight mouthpiece and high backpressure. It has a warm tone that responds well to tonguing technique, including "popping the air column" for a subtle horn tone sound. It has been signed, "Milkay 04."
