The tight bore through the neck of this instrument produces sharp and coarse acoustics. Excellent backpressure being very sensitive to pressure changes. Good full and balanced sound with strong bass and high harmonics. Very resonant, with a nice harmonic pop in response to Yolngu-style tonguing. Mouthpiece is rough and may require wax for some players. Painted with a lone freshwater turtle, with the Gularri design on its back, representative of the sacred river at the artist's homeland of Dhalinybuy.
