A full sounding low instrument, good balance of roughness and harmonics. Easy trumpet for an instrument with such a large mouthpiece. Some players may need wax to close it up a bit. This instrument has been sparsely painted in the center, with stain at the ends, showing the natural stringybark grain in a new way. The interior bore from the bottom is left natural.

Basic Drone F#
Horn tone F
Length 151cm
Mouth 3.3cm

Base end 11.5cm
Weight 5.6kg

A solid, loud instrument with dirty acoustics, for the player interested in the muted raw sound rather than crisp harmonics. Lots of power goes through this yidaki. It has been painted just at the ends, with a stained middle section. It is signed by the craftsman in the bottom section. The inside of the bottom is well crafted and sealed with glue. There are some lumps of putty near the mouthpiece that were used to patch holes and have been painted over.
