Another tight, fast, bright player with a conservative flare. Well-balanced, an all around good player for many styles from Yolngu to contemporary. Well-crafted, thin-walled. Price is low for this quality a player because of rough exterior work.

This one is a great player. Using a more conservative size than normal, Datjirri has created an instrument with the power we are used to from him with more brightness and easier playing. Great for just about any style but meditative!

A ripping instrument with dirty acoustics, the rough high sound of a proper Yirritja yidaki. Horn tone is easy to hitand nicely balanced with the drone. Mouthpiece looks rough but is perfect for playing with no wax.

Nice big conical shape, very full and warm with good power. Mouthpiece is rough, and funnel-shaped. The painting by DatjirriÕs wife Dilirrma Mununggurr depicts two brolgas, or Gudurrku, entwining their necks.

Big and full sounding, slightly dirty. Somewhat low back pressure but very rewarding when you push it. Unusual wood grain for stringybark shows through in the middle section.

An uncommon instrument for Datjirri's typical style. Longer, thick walled Yidaki with rich and resonant acoustics and strong bass frequencies. Good volume and clarity with excellent vocal response. Good transition from drone to horn tone. Blunt diaphramatic response. Smooth playing. Completely clear bore from top to bottom. A sawdust/woodglue filler has been used on the mouthpiece instead of wax.

This is a loud and aggressive, moderately dirty sounding instrument perfect for any aggressive playing but particularly Yolngu style. It has the much desired octave horn tone. It is well finished and has black native wax in the mouthpiece.

This powerful yidaki will shake the walls. The sound is aggressive and dirty, heavy on midrange harmonics. The toot is soft and responsive. It is nicely finished and painted with fine cross hatch by Datjirri's wife Djilirrma Mununggurr. The bore is extremely open and clear.
