Don't do it. Ga (and) only because it's the law that women don't play that yidaki, the instrument, yidaki. But if you do, maybe, play behind doors. On your own, not to be heard by anybody else. But not... but mainly, don't play yidaki.
(interviewer: What do you think would happen if a white woman came and played out in the open here?)
It would be... people would be going, "Way (hey), don't play yidaki!" Mmm, "Yaka yaka yaka! (no no no!)" People would be, you know, going "y^w, somebody tell that miyalk (woman) to stop playing!"
That instrument was only for men to play. Women have their own tools to go hunting and to make things, or... We can sing, but not to touch men's things. Men don't touch women's things, and women don't touch men's things. That's for them to use only. Like raypirri. Raypirri (strong discipline). We don't touch other people's things.
