Bulunggitj Wunungmurra Date of Birth

Bulunggitj is the son of one of our best yidaki making teams, Burrngupurrngu Wunungmurra and Djul'djul Gurruwiwi. He lives with them at Gurrumuru, and is learning the arts of both yidaki playing and crafting from his father, one of the local masters. On the first of November 2005, he came with his parents to Yirrkala from Gurrumuru to sell instruments he crafted himself for the first time. He has since brought in a few more and seems to have inherited a knack for yidaki from his father. |
