BIRRKU: Treasures from a Distant Land

Harvey Art Projects is proud to present "BIRRKU" Treasures from a Distant Land opening this Christmas in Sun Valley.  This will be Buku-Larrnggay's first exhibit of stunning ceremonial poles and bark paintings in the United States.  The exhibit willl be held in conjunction with a series of community cultural events including film screenings & artists talks with our visiting artist Wukun Wanambi.  'Birrku' in Yolngu has two meanings,  far away & something of excellence.  We are thrilled to host such an extraordinary group of artists who live in an entirely different world, a Yolngu world.  Please mark your calendars & join us for a special ceremonial opening of "BIRRKU' Treasures from a Distant Land on Friday Dec 30 at 6pm with a special guest performance by Wukun of traditional song and dance.
